In the heart of the North Pennines, our outdoors offer a huge range of activities for all.

From the simple pleasures of a walk through the town, along a riverside, or on the high fells, to the excitement of off-road driving, Wolsingham keeps you busy !

One of the north's finest and most extensive network of public footpaths is maintained and waymarked by a partnership of the Parish Council, County Council and the Wolsingham Wayfarers. We are frequently the venue for the annual Great North Walk.

At the end of the day, or if the weather closes in, our local societies and clubs arrange numerous entertainments and events.

Within our area, there are a multitude of visitor attractions, including natural and man-made features, historical sights and sites, restoration and heritage projects. Within easy travelling distance, we have all of Northumbria - England's undiscovered holiday experience. Browse through the information below to learn more.
